Fentanyl Awareness

Did you know?

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid. It is approximately 100 times more powerful than morphine. Fentanyl has historically been marketed for end-stage cancer treatment and applied via patches on the skin for severe chronic pain. It only takes a very small dose of fentanyl, 2 milligrams, to be lethal.

Outreach

Fentanyl in Marijuana

Fentanyl is increasingly being found in substances people don’t expect, including marijuana—raising the risk of accidental overdose. We work to keep our community safe through education, testing awareness, naloxone access, and clear guidance on harm reduction, so people have the information and tools they need to protect themselves and others.
